Midwest Connection

This Midwest Connection journal is a tribute to ALL of the the great American racing legends that I have had the honor to see race and/or meet in person over the years.
I am originally from "The Home of the Supermodifieds" Oswego, NY. Having seen many of the great auto racing veterans, champions and legends from time to time in the past 45+ years, this journal shows the viewers some of my racing exploits and the great US racing drivers, cars, owners, teams, etc., that I have had the pleasure to see in person.

Have a good day...see you at the races,

Oswego Speedway Old Timers

OSWEGO SPEEDWAY OLD TIMERS

“more than just memories

3rd Annual Oswego Speedway Old Timers Reunion – Picnic

Saturday, July 12th      10am to 4:30pm

WE NEED YOUR RESPONSE PLEASE……

As we prepare for this years’ Reunion-Picnic we have noticed again this year almost 40 percent of the tickets sold are for fans attending for the first time!!!   That’s great!!

However, just like the last two years it may cause a problem.  The first year over 80 people showed up without requesting tickets in advance.  Last year we had over 50 do the same.  We love to accommodate as many as possible.  In the past many of you have just showed up without giving us a ticket request and we have always honored it because we wanted to see as many of our racing friends and family as possible!!!!

On July 12th, Garafolos will be catering three events in the Oswego area.  They have asked us to be as accurate as possible with our head count for the Reunion.

With that in mind, would you PLEASE let us know by either email or telephone if you will be attending the Reunion.  We would appreciate a response by July 1st PLEASE.

Just let us know one of the following:    YES we will attend and give your ticket request……. NO we will not be attending this year…. OR ….. We are still not sure but will let you know soon.

We THANK YOU in advance for your cooperation.  Naturally, we hope everyone will be able to attend.  It has been wonderful seeing so many of the racing gang from the past.

Also, we still have 7 Motel Rooms available out of the block of 25 we put aside for the Reunion.  If you are attending and need a room, please email Jim Ferlito at jferlito@nc.rr.com or by telephone at 919-233-9437 (call evenings please).

THANKS AGAIN.   Here’s wishing you and your family are doing well and we hope to see you on July 12th at the BIG “O”.

Racingly,
